Saltash to Royal William Yard Ferry

New for 2024, this scenic ferry route connects shops, cinema, and eateries centred around vibrant Royal William Yard Marina, with the thriving Cornish town of Saltash. Home of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s spectacular Royal Albert Bridge, the streets of Saltash are lined with independent shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes.

This beautiful ferry ride takes you along the River Tamar to where Saltash is situated on the west bank, which meanders through the Tamar Valley, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Saltash to Royal William Yard Ferry Information

Whether taking advantage of our regular commuter service, taking a day trip to Saltash or simply planning a round trip, pleasure cruise, this ferry journey offers spectacular views along the way from Plymouth’s Royal William Yard Marina, along the River Tamar to Saltash.

*Single Ferry Journey: 35 minutes.
*Round Trip Pleasure Cruise (stay onboard): 1-Hr 20 minutes.

*OPERATING AT THE WEEKEND ONLY:
Saturday 2nd November & Sunday 3rd November 2024.

Service will then finish for the season & return April 2025.

Please note, our ferry services are run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ticket Options:

  • Tickets can be purchased via our online booking facility up to and including the day of travel.  Please note ferry tickets can only be purchased for the day of travel and do not guarantee a crossing time.
  • Cash and card payments are also accepted when boarding.
  • Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, please click here to view full terms and conditions.

PLEASE NOTE:

Our ferries are unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
Our crew are on hand to provide help and assistance to less able-bodied passengers, while boarding, alighting and for the duration of the trip.
